In which, the number of hospitalizations for inpatient treatment and outpatient care increased by 1.8 times and 2.8 times, respectively. Most districts have an increase in the number of cases compared to the average of 4 weeks ago. Accumulated from the beginning of the year until now, the whole city has 3,736 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, down 47.7% over the same period in 2022.

Meanwhile, the number of dengue fever cases recorded was 197 cases, an increase of 18% compared to the average of 4 weeks ago. The number of hospitalizations for inpatient treatment and outpatient care increased by 11.4% and 24.6%, respectively. From the beginning of the year to week 25, the whole city had 8,298 cases, 53.2% lower than the same period in 2022, no deaths from dengue fever were recorded.

Facing the above situation, the City Center for Disease Control has implemented monitoring of risk points and activities to prevent and control dengue fever in districts and Thu Duc city. In the past week, the Center has discovered 12/24 sites with larvae in District 12, District 4, District 7, District 11, District 1, Hoc Mon district and Thu Duc city. The Department of Health has informed the People's Committees of districts to direct, inspect and supervise dengue fever prevention and control activities in the area.
