Therefore, in order to actively prevent summer diseases and especially during holidays, the Department of Health requires the Hanoi Center for Disease Control to closely monitor passengers entering Vietnam through the border gate. At Noi Bai International Airport, check the body temperature of passengers with a thermometer, note that passengers coming from countries with influenza A(H7N9), A(H5N6), Marburg... isolation, referral for treatment for suspected cases, and at the same time notify the health centers of districts, towns to organize epidemic surveillance in the community.

Strengthen surveillance and early detection of epidemic cases at central and city hospitals, conduct epidemiological investigations, localize and thoroughly handle outbreaks in the community. Organize training and update knowledge on measures to monitor and handle diseases for medical staff in the system. Arrange staff to be on duty and ready to support districts, towns and cities to implement measures to encircle the area to handle the epidemic. Promote communication and propaganda on epidemic prevention and control measures such as taking the initiative to fully vaccinate for disease prevention; environmental sanitation, collection of waste, scrap, killing larva and preventing dengue fever; Personal hygiene, cleaning toys to prevent hand, foot and mouth disease.

Medical centers of districts, towns and cities will strengthen monitoring of epidemics in the community and medical facilities to detect disease cases early; organize zoning, thoroughly handle the outbreak to prevent the epidemic from spreading. Coordinate with the Health Department to advise the Steering Committees for Disease Prevention and Control in districts and towns to strengthen the organization of environmental sanitation campaigns for disease prevention and control. Strengthen inspection and supervision to ensure food safety and hygiene in the area. Arrange staff to be on duty and ready to implement measures to blockade the epidemic treatment area, especially during the holidays…

The medical examination and treatment facilities well organize the classification, collection, emergency and treatment of patients, avoiding cross-infection in medical facilities to minimize deaths from epidemics. Strictly implement the management of patient's waste to prevent pathogens from spreading to cause epidemics in the hospital or to the community.
