According to the Hanoi Department of Health, in the past week (from May 3 to May 9), Hanoi recorded 25 cases of dengue fever, 0 deaths; an increase of 13 cases compared to last week (October 12). Cumulatively from the beginning of 2024 until now, there have been 628 cases, 0 deaths, an increase compared to the same period in 2023 (236/0).

Hand, foot and mouth disease this week recorded 129 cases, 0 deaths, an increase of 45 cases compared to the previous week. Patients are distributed in 28 districts, towns and cities; Some places with many patients are Ha Dong with 14 cases, Dong Anh and Hoang Mai with 10 cases each. Cumulatively to date, the city has recorded 1,184 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, with no deaths, an increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The patient was transferred to Military Hospital 105, diagnosed with encephalitis, meningitis had not been ruled out, received oxygen, anti-convulsants, antibiotics, then transferred to Military Hospital 103 with fever. height 39 degrees, drowsiness, Kernig+, stiff neck. Realtime PCR testing of cerebrospinal fluid, blood and throat mucus showed positive results for meningococcus.

Some other epidemics such as: Streptococcus swine, tetanus, measles, rubella, Japanese encephalitis were not recorded during the week.

To further promote epidemic prevention activities in the coming week, the Hanoi Department of Health requests the Health Centers of districts and towns to direct health stations based on the patient situation and monitoring results. insects that transmit dengue fever to advise the People's Committees of communes, wards, and towns to proactively deploy environmental sanitation campaigns and kill larvae in the area, paying attention to high-risk areas and old outbreak areas. complicated developments.
